A small group of members from the network have established a subgroup with a focus on LGBTQ+ identities, experiences and issues with the aim of ensuring representation within the network and collaborating on projects in the future.

Overall aim:
To ensure ongoing representation for LGBTQ+ identities, experiences and issues within the VAWDASV Research Network Wales and create a focused space for connection, reflection and collaboration.
Objectives:
- Encourage active inclusivity and balance within the existing Network activities, e.g. speaker programmes and language, and provide accountability
- Provide a place for Network members to go with any questions about LGBTQ+ topics or for information about specialist services or initiatives in Wales
- Hold monthly meetings in addition to the wider Network meetings
- Work towards collaborating on projects and funding bids, e.g. scoping ideas, identifying gaps in practice/knowledge, seeking funding.
