Postgraduate Research Subgroup

Who we are:

We are a group of postgraduate researchers from the network who are studying across MSc, MA, MRes, PgCert and PhD programmes and working in the areas of violence against women, domestic abuse, and sexual violence. We draw on diverse methodologies, and we are each at different stages of our postgraduate journeys.

Purpose:

The group provides a dedicated and supportive space for reflection, learning and peer connection around aspects of the research journey.  The group is led by members and for members.  Sessions usually include an opportunity for a member to present on a chosen theme, bringing together current ideas or best practice and exploring how these relate to our own projects. The group is about connection: sharing projects, readings and resources; sharing ideas and supporting one another through the realities of postgraduate study.

How it works:

  • Online meetings
  • Quarterly – come when you can
  • Presentations by members and guests
  • Personal research updates and discussions

Get involved:

We are eager to welcome new postgraduate researchers to join and contribute to the continued development of the group. If you are interested, please sign up to the VAWDASV Research Network of Wales and send a message requesting to join the PGR Subgroup. We look forward to meeting you!
